Google is set to unveil innovative AI-driven features within its Lens tool, allowing users to search by simply pointing their camera at an object and asking questions verbally, rather than typing queries.

For instance, if you find yourself at an aquarium curious about the fish in an exhibit, you can open Lens in the Google app, hold down the shutter button, and ask something like, “Why are they swimming together?” This functionality was highlighted in a blog post from Google on Thursday, October 3.

The AI video recognition aspect of Google Lens was first hinted at during the company's I/O event earlier this year and is now rolling out in English for users of Search Labs on both Android and iOS who are participating in the “AI Overviews and more” initiative.

Additionally, the voice-activated search capability of Google Lens is now accessible to all English-speaking Android and iOS users. Google is also launching a new feature for shoppers that provides details, including pricing information, about items they see in the real world.

Moreover, users in the US will soon experience search result pages that have been enhanced with AI organisations.
